Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK)

Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) is a scientific discipline related to safety assessment of drug development, and is becoming a core discipline of drug discovery and development. DMPK is the study of drug disposition process in the organism. It describes the process of absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) using mathematical and dynamic models and combines the exposure of drugs in blood circulation and target organs with clinical manifestations (pharmacodynamics and toxic side effects).

A sub-optimal DMPK profile is one of the key reasons for unwanted adverse effects and the failure of potential new therapies in early clinical trials. Characterization of ADME properties is essential for understanding the safety of drug candidates and can increase the likelihood of successful projects. During drug discovery, the realignment of DMPK can help to select optimal drug candidates to enter clinical trials. Therefore, DMPK is important for the selection of highly developable candidates with good bioavailability and safety.

Creative Biolabs provides professional drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) services for safety assessment of drug research and development thus to deal with data reproducibility crisis which is a big obstacle for drug research and development and may lead to failure and high risk of investment. With our comprehensive in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies, we can drive forward and speed up your drug discovery process.

In Vitro DMPK

Prior to actual dosing in animals, a number of relatively rapid and cost-effective in vitro assays can serve as surrogates and indicators of the ADME fate of compounds in vivo. Improvements in ADME properties of compounds translate to their improved PK properties. We are able to offer a broad range of in vitro DMPK services and provide unparalleled experience and expertise in every area. We have focused on building efficient systems and procedures to meet the needs and timelines of our clients. Our services will help implement your preclinical drug development projects and enhance your ability to make sound decisions towards key milestones.

In Vivo DMPK

In vivo DMPK studies are helpful to support the choice of an animal species and the dosing regimen (amount and dose frequency) for further studies, and can facilitate interpretation of findings in toxicology studies. Understanding and accurate describing the ADME properties of drug candidates in vivo is helpful in developing dose escalation strategies in clinical trials and is vital to obtain appropriate conclusions regarding drug behavior and utility. We provide in vivo DMPK services to support your drug development studies of in vivo ADME of drug candidates. Our in vivo DMPK services cover a comprehensive range of different animal studies in several species to meet all the needs of our clients.

In addition, Creative Biolabs has a dedicated assay development team that will work closely with you to design customized assays. Our service will meet your specific needs fast at extremely competitive prices. If you need more information, please feel free to contact us at anytime. We look forward to working with you to help your drug research and development project succeed.
