Gene therapy is a technique that introduces functional genes into patient cells to compensate for abnormal genes. Stem cell therapy is the administration of viable and purified cells into a patient's body to grow, replace, or repair damaged tissue for the treatment of a disease. Different types of cells can be used in cell therapy such as MSCs, ESCs and iPSCs.
